In an interview broadcast on Monday's ABC News' World News Tonight With Diane Sawyer, Bob Woodward, author of the new book, Obama's War, told Sawyer he was unable to 'crack the code' of silence surrounding First Lady Michelle Obama.
It was a startling admission from the man who made himself famous with Watergate and later claimed to have sneaked past CIA guards to obtain a deathbed confession from Reagan CIA Director William Casey.
It is also a testament to the fear of Michelle Obama that while classified documents are routinely passed to Woodward, no one dared say a word, kind or unkind, about the First Lady.
Sawyer introduced the subject of Michelle Obama, saying, "It turns out even Woodward, the king of getting people to talk, can't crack the wall of silence aoout the president's formidable wife."
Sawyer asked Woodward, "You've written before about Laura Bush's role. Where is Michelle Obama in all this?
An uncomfortable Woodward replied, "I don't know. And I confess to not cracking that code, and I wish I had."
Sawyer followed-up, "Glean anything about her role?"
Woodward meekly responded, "She wants him home for dinner on time with her and the girls."
Maybe he’s not the Muslim..maybe she is?
She’s the alpha.
I think Woodward wasn’t trying too hard. Michelle is an easy read,she is an extremely angry woman who feels inferior and has a huge chip on her shoulder.
Read her senior thesis, listen to her speeches on the campaign trail and watch her face especially in unguarded moments. Look at the way she dresses. Michelle hates America but mostly she hates herself.
Lastly just ask Carla Bruni. Michelle also hates being FLotUS.
She is one angry unhappy woman and it perpetually shows.
She’s bigger than he is and knows where the bodies (and documents) are buried.
Look for documents under the name Refrigerator Perry.

She may or may not be Muslim, but she is the angry one.
My understanding is that Michelle is the one who persuaded O to attend Rev. Wright’s church.
She is not afraid of angry speechifying, unlike O who prefers to remain cool and aloof. If C-Span still has them, look at a few of the speeches she gave in 2008. Yikes!
Her senior thesis at Princeton was “Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community”. She’s the one with the grudge.
You can bet that if Woodward wanted to, he would have investigated Michelle further. But maybe he’ll wait for another “Deep Throat.”
I thought about that. This White House is well known for trading media access for favors.
So what’s the problem here! Just use “anonymous sources” like any other hack would.
Good analysis. I wonder if anyone at the CIA ever did a personality profile of her and found that it paralled the profile of John Allen Muhammed? And I wonder if anyone responsible for compiling the profile ever got fired from the CIA for doing so? I wonder.
