people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or truth or what's happening.

You mean, something like, "hope and change," Lurch?

If only Kerry were up for reelection this year! He called the voters ‘stupid’ and Clinton tried to cover his backside by saying Kerry had ‘misspoken’. Unfortunately the ‘stupid’ voters of MA. are stuck with Kerry until 2014.

Kerry took it upon himself to explain the outlandish folkways of the American people: "We have an electorate that doesn't always pay that much attention to what's going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or truth or what's happening."

Kerry what do you call "Yes We Can"?

While I agree with the overall point of the article, I hate having Velma Hart pushed forward as the face of suffering under the current regime. In fact, she didn't elicit sympathy from me. She seems to be a symptom of what's wrong with Americans, not the adminstration. A woman with a Masters degree, who heads a government agency, and is able to send her kids to private school, yet is disappointed that government isn't doing more to make her life better. If her big fear is a return to hot dogs and beans for dinner (which are delicious, not scary, IMHO), begs the question, what other choices have you made with your money? How big is your salary? How much does your huband make. What kind of car(s) do you drive? What vacations do you take? How much of your paycheck have you saved over the years? How big is your house, what is your mortgage? What exactly is it that you expect the government to be doing for you, and why is it their obligation? By her own admission, she was doing well under Bush. She thought her beanie-weenie days were behind her, so why did she vote for “fundamental change”? Basically her complaints remind me of Michelle Obama explaining how they were just an ordinary family trying to stretch their six figure salaries to cover private schools and dance and music lessons.

I do sympathize with her frustration in defending the Obama regime though. It must be tough to defend Obama to people who are actually suffering.
