ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police have taken a 24-year old registered sex offender from Kentucky into custody after he was found in a local motel room with missing 12-year old Albuquerque girl. Officers are investigating if the two met online.
The girl's family reported her missing to Albuquerque police on Sunday.
On Monday afternoon, some of the girls' friends contacted her family and told them the girl sent them text messages indicating she was at the Motel 6 at Coors and Iliff.
The man has a conviction in Kentucky for second-degree sexual assault against two victims who were 13 and 15-years old.

He'll have plenty of time to play in prison, but I expect he'll not like the game.
NM list PING!
(The NM list is available on my FR homepage for anyone to use. Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
For crimes like these, public hangings should be the punishment. Bring back the gallows!
I feel sure that would get the message across as well as preventing any future misbehavior on his part.
And at least THAT perp wouldn’t do it again.
Her school gave her a condom and told her to have fun and Planned Parenthood International says girls should learn to enjoy sex by age 10.
She is considered a late bloomer to the perverts.
The man should be shot of course.
How many more children will have to be hurt before we realize these evil people cannot live among the civilized?
Or perhaps the civilized need to deal with the problem themselves since the justice system won’t.
Okay, Sarcasm off.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg once wrote a paper advocating for the age of consent for sex between and adult and a minor to be lowered to 11 years old.
So, she will vote for him if he gets to the USSC.
Don’t we need pictures to determine guilt? end sarcaim
I must have missed something - vote for whom??? About whom are you writing?
I can’t believe the Headline is written this way.
lol. me too.
1. If this is a known sex offender, caught attempting to offend further - then:
2. The internet can be an incredible source for information for pretty much anything you might want to know (FR being a good example) - but children should NEVER be allowed unsupervised time using the internet, unless the service you have can be VERY strictly locked down to a very limited field of access (which can now been done inexpensively). Problem is - the home computer can be fairly easily "locked down" - but many parents now buy their children not only cell phones - but "smartphones" with unlimited access to the 'net. Hard to manage that access... Parents MUST take responsibility for access to materials THEY allow and provide!!!!
Problems should be solved. This pervert should hang - side-by-side with the moron who thought he should be released from prison while still breathing.
Off with his tweeter! No chance at a second offense.
I hate to quote Cheech and Chong, but as the Judge said “ Bailiff Whack his PeePee”
12 is a mite young...good lord
12 must be the programed mental age of those who keep voting for Zero as that little runaway did apparently. “Niac niac niac, who is nibbling at my house”
That 12 year old voted? What is the voting age in that state? geesh! heh
