It’s been my experience that a landlord may evict when he needs to occupy the premises himself, as in a primary residence.
But I’ve never been a landlord in Chicago.

Your experience is incorrect. Don’t hide behind a ‘private property’ lie.

The lease will have something covering this situation. Both parties should stick to the lease.

However, if the link in post #10 to his non-payment of property taxes is correct, as it’s the address of his “personal charity”, then Rambo can’t come back and call the property his residence, without facing some heavy back taxes.

(of course, all of his tax avoidance scam at the link in #10, should be overturned.)
