okay I’ll ask Sky.....I’m an old timer, so what the sam hill is ‘Hassel The Hoff’ mean? Is it a some young people thing? I do not view liberal shows like the dancing programs or I might know but I don’t.
My only problem with him, was that he was carping on Chelsea during their practice sessions. He disagree with her and didn’t want to do what she was asking him to.
So then he goes out and dances poorly and blames the judges for giving him the worst numbers I’ve ever seen.
He had a problem with Bruno, but he was just being frank. Len has blasted people unmercifully himself, so he has no room to talk. And Carrie Anne, roasts the contestants all the time for ghost lifts.
Bolton thinks they were unfair to him. Frankly I think it’s best he leave the competition if he’s that brittle.
He’s a bit of a premadonna IMO.
I don’t like seeing the supposed “Stars” giving their dance instructors a bad time. Very poor form...
One of the stars last year was giving Max a hard time. Max looked at them and said, “Look, I’ve been teaching competition level dance to dancers for over a decade. I know what I’m doing, and what it takes to get up to speed in short order.” The star stood there fuming anyway.
It's a term that's been around since the fall of the Berlin Wall. He got heckled when he was performing on top of the wall before it fell and he yelled into the microphone on live worldwide TV, "Don't hassle The Hoff!!"
David "The Hoff" Hasselhoff - Popular only in Germany
Actually, there was someone here at my house who did.
I had my brother-in-law and his wife over to watch the gubernatorial debate. He is a rabid Palin hater and rooted for Brown all the way. Later, we watched the video of the boos three times and he insists the boos were for Palin. He also says the media has a right-wing bias and thus ABC was covering for her. Nutty, I know. He's an educated man who owns a successful business. But when it comes to politics he turns moronic. I can't understand it.
Don’t give up on your brother-in-law in regards to his politics....people change all the time. Over time, he might even come to admire Palin. Many people who hated Palin (even on this site) have come to appreciate her.
That’s quite surprising to me. The people at Dancing with the Stars made it very clear that their take on it was that the booing was for the scores.
Bruno, Len, and Carrie Anne were responding to the boos with dismay. “What’s wrong with eights?”
If the producers cared enough to play the video out-takes, the MCs stated it was for the scores, and the video itself made it crystal clear, I can’t imaging someone delusional enough to disagree.
Anyone who thinks the major networks are Conservative has Rumple Stiltskin’s disease.
Look, I know there are people out there like that. It’s unfortunate. Must make for some interesting family dynamics.
I have Tivo. I played that part of the video back several times but he insisted the boos could have been for Palin. I soon realized there was no way of getting through to someone who thinks the media (especially ABC) has a right-wing bias. He also thought Brown was a good governor so there ya go.
You’re right. He was going to think what he wanted to think, no matter what.
Brown actually laid the foundation for the problem with union government retirements. He was governor when the public services unionized.
I’ve never seen anything that overtly political on Dancing with the Stars to qualify it as a liberal program. By which I mean it doesn’t seem as though there is much of a political agenda. I mean there’s Bruno, but they don’t seem to use his presence for any purpose. It may have liberals on it and conservatives now and then to, but they as far as I have seen have kept their mouths shut on the show. The only thing political I can think of was an off the cuff remark Len made about GB once. But I’ve seen Freepers make wisecracks about him that are worse. A large portion of their audience are seniors, that may keep them from jumping to far off the political cliff.
I’d boo Obama at a church picnic accepting a “Father of the Year” award; why shouldn’t they boo Sarah Palin, you know there’s lots out there don’t like her ( they’ve been told not to like her.)
Clearly DWTS was not amused at being used as a political pawn.
They went quite a long ways to proving the stories were LIES.
Yes, I know he did. Thanks for the link.
