For the first time, Republican challenger Ken Buck now captures more than 50% of the vote in his U.S. Senate bid against Democratic incumbent Michael Bennet in Colorado.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Colorado shows Buck with 51% support, while Bennet earns 43% of the vote with leaners included. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

These findings move the race from a Toss-Up to Leans GOP in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings. Two weeks ago, Buck held a 49% to 45% lead when leaners were part of the totals.

Augers well for taking 3 Congressional seats in Colorado away from the Dems. John Salazar’s and Ed Perlmutter’s seats are very vulnerable.

We already are going to get Betsy Markey’s seat.

Nice. Now, what to do about Gov. I just don’t know if we should care about the 10% threshold for the Pubbies - although I know that will make it difficult on them. They have caused themselves these problems. I know Tancredo’s hardly perfect - but a 3rd party Tancredo is definitely better than the RAT lickenpooper.

“I wouldn’t vote for Tom “Look At Me!!!” Tancredo if you paid me to.”

Into single digits with Maes then? (and really if you do that you’re voting for lickenpooper, right?)

While this is an important philisophical debate with deadly implications, we need to win against the pro-aborts on partial birth abortion and the ‘health and welfare’ clauses that allow abortions in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Further we need to pound them on parental consent and all else that is supported by 70% of this nation.

We need to support pro-life candidates and judges.

We need to move the trenches forward in this battle and breach their lines - not shoot for something that is completely out of sight at the moment. Philisophically we can deny the morality of abortions from rape and incest. But practically, I would redirect that question each and every time to the 70,000 (or so) 3rd trimester abortions and how we can conscienably allow that.

Battle fire with fire with these pro-aborts...

“MSM and liberals are so busy taking down O’Donell,”

MSM and liberals are clueless about the extent of the SMACKDOWN that is about to hit them. They are busy trying to convince themselves that ‘enthusiasm is growing’ and that it won’t be so bad.

Do you suppose the 9.6% official and 22% un and underemployment rates, the majorities that favor socialistCare repeal, or the super low consumer confidence number just released yesterday bears out that whimper of enthusiasm for the RATS in winning back the angry independents?

“Ras has Reid +1 against Angle today.”

That race is pretty deadlocked - but she could be up 2 or 3 point for all we know given the MoE. Reid’s got too many undecided and hasn’t been over 50 in forever. Bad news for him. Good news for us and Sharron.

Thanks Bruce... that is answer to my prayers.

He does indeed work in mysterious ways.
