The guy killed himself over a very sad incident, and you're busy talking about how he should have known better than to be a homosexual.

Perhaps you should dial back on the self-righteousness.

I’m sickened by the comments made by people on here. Nothing like rubbing salt in the wounds of the loved ones he leaves behind.

Mr. Orbitologist, perhaps the high Colorado altitudes have resulted in temporary hypoxia and you are unable to digest my point.

It’s really simple. The guy didn’t kill himself over a sad incident. He killed himself because he knew his acts were immoral and would bring shame on him and his family. That is why he killed himself.

No self-righteousness here, just a lucid observation.

I don't think anyone here is being egregiously self-righteous. We're just pointing out a truth that society has been trying to deny for a long time.

Homosexuality used to be classed as a mental illness. That's what it is, but we're not supposed to say so. Homosexuals have elevated risks of domestic violence, substance abuse, and suicide. These are not happy individuals. And they can be cured -- but only if there is an acknowledgment that there is a problem that deserves a cure.

Society does a huge disservice to tell mentally ill people that they are just fine. Our culture encourages these people to wallow in their mental illness and feel proud of their infirmity.

It is far more loving to gently communicate the fact that homosexuals are living a mistake and they ought to try to get better.

This thread sounds like a DU parody of a Freeper thread. I love how some are assuming that the two perps here are illegals based on their foreign names. I seem to recall going to college with a few asian girls and indian guys who weren’t illegals. Also any conservative should be dead set against spying on people in their dorm room for no purpose other than laughs and exploitation. This kid probably had plenty of other troubles and this incident pushed him over the edge. Is that so hard to understand?

The more I visit FR recently, the happier I am I am not a Christian.

Aren’t Christians supposed to hate the sin, but love the sinner? How about some charitable feelings for his parents and family?

I bet some of the most hateful things said here are being said by people who go to church and call themselves Christian. Well, if you want to be happy or feel self-righteous over some college kid’s suicide, have at it. We know what this kid was, but now we know what you are, too.

So you’re fine with homosexuality, then.
