As a teen I was as troubled as they come, and on more than one occasion I turned to the pediatrician who had treated me as a youngster. If it hadn't been for him, I would have had to have turned to my parents (who were never anything less than loving and supportive) to help me through my little difficulties.

Oh, the horror!

If you take away the external influences, those...institutions so willing and eager to help the younger generation, what then? Will they have nowhere to go? Or will they possibly look to their parents or a trusted older relative to help them out? PP does them no service, period. I'm willing to bet that the young clients of PP who are treated for STDs and unplanned pregnancy are frequent flyers. PP does not exist to help anyone lead a moral life. PP does not guide clients into making the right decisions, ever. PP exists to sell the idea that sexual promiscuity need not have any lasting negative consequences, and that's a load of deadly crap.

PP sells immorality. Hell, they've cornered the market.

I was a depressed kid myself. Without a whole network of family friends, pastor, and old school teachers who knows how things might have turned out.
