Yes, the 74 election was the turnaround. Part of why it hasn’t turned back is because of the developement boom fed by the influx of Philly folks who wanted the suburbs but missed the political corruption of the city.

You’re absolutely right about the demographics of NJ-1, the biggest challenge is off-setting the mini-Philly in Camden - TURNOUT will be key. We NEED a large PATRIOT TURNOUT to pull this out.
