Rep. Mike Castle will not run a write-in campaign for Delaware's open Senate seat, the Republican said in a statement Wednesday night.
"While I would have been honored to represent Delaware in the U.S. Senate, I do not believe that seeking office in this manner is in the best interest of all Delawareans. Therefore, it's time for Jane and me to begin thinking about the next chapter of our lives," he said, referring to his wife.

He did not mention O'Donnell in the statement.

He found out a write in would step on Harry’s pet’s tail.

a write-in bid by Castle likely would have siphoned off votes from Coons. Proof that he was no standard bearer for the GOP.

Zero told him not to run . . would have spoiled the Rat’s chances instead of Ms O’Donnell’s.

Its tough for a monster ego like Castle’s to deliver two concession speeches in two months.
Then again, I think he just did.

The ‘right’ thing would have been (in Sussex County Returns day tradition) to bury the hatchet, congratulate O’Donnell and offer to help in any way he could for his fellow Republican to carry the election!
He can’t even speak her name (and HE was the one slinging mud like crazy - with that ‘I am Mike Castle and I approved this message’ attached to each one.)
Maybe he can take up golf on Michele Rollins 600 acre world class ‘White Witch’ course and stay at her 7,000 acre Luxury Resort in Jamaica and swap tales about how they lost their elections.

I think he found out that his campaign as a write-in would only hurt Coons as both would be drawing from the left. He surely wants to see that woman lose.

"He did not mention O'Donnell in the statement"
The scumbag does not even qualify as a "RINO" --- he studied the pollster tea leaves, realized that he'd hurt the 'Rat if he ran as a write-in, and so concedes again without even a pretense of support for his party's chosen nominee.
Wait and see, he'll be appointed by the Obama admin. to some ambassadorship or commission, or maybe even a cabinet post down the road, to serve as an example of a "good" Republican who knows how to kow-tow to the socialists.
Had he served as a spoiler against Harry Reid's pet Coons then he'd have no chance for enjoying the spoils of Democrat largesse down the road.
