Maine Republican Paul LePage says he’ll have a fiery message for President Obama if he’s elected governor: “Go to hell.”

The GOP nominee’s comments surfaced on Dirigo Blue, a left-leaning Maine blog Tuesday. The video captured the Waterville mayor taking questions from a group of fisherman at a Republican forum who told him that financial regulations were driving them to poverty.

“We came from behind because we have a message. We have a message that says: One, we've had enough of the federal government. We've had enough. Two, we've had enough of the state government. And No. 3, government should be working for the people, not the people working for the government,” LePage says in the video. “And as your governor, you're gonna be seeing a lot of me on the front page saying ‘Gov. LePage tells Obama to go to hell.’”

I wonder how many government workers a single commercial fishing boat supports.

Small one about half dozen
Large one about 3 dozen
Fish processing plant about a gross
Ever wonder why there's so few of any of the above......

Another question I would have is, How many government people sign off on a commercial fishing boat in order to allow it to put out to sea? It goes with out saying that there is probably considerable undocumented expense that goes to these people.

Not sure on the number to put to sea, would say about 15
All the fishing boats I worked on as a kid, all the processing
plants I worked in are all gone, every last one of them.
The last of the sardine plants closed just recently,
NO boats to fish for sardines anymore, to many rules
to many regulations, no boats to fish for anything soon

I retired from long lining when they required us to install GPS trackers on our boats. You had to call NMF when you left the dock and again on return home...and heaven help you if anything went wrong with their little box while you were offshore and they lost your signal. They would swarm your boat with CC and NMF agents when you returned. They cut the season, moved the boundary, started quotas, ect. ect on and on till they were so up my nether regions that I felt less intruded upon on land then I did 300 miles offshore.

Plus I didn’t want to just give the government twenty five years of fishing numbers I had acquired over that time.

The communist Maine media was positively giddy reporting on this comment over the weekend...now saying that LePage’s opponent; the ultra-left Mitchell, now has a 1-point LEAD in the polls...sure hope that is BS.

I like your tagline!
