“”The letter is for the tax year 2002.””

What you posted is in reference to the W-2 submitted by an employer at the end of the year for the year’s earning.

This is not the kind of “No match letter” that’s the subject in this case. The “No match letters” come from the Social Security Administration throughout the year after the receipt of an employer’s quarterly earnings reports when the name submitted and the social security numbers do not match with Social Security records.

This is the kind of letter Gloria is holding up.

Good question posted here also is where did those other “No match letters” go after the first year? Did the maid get the mail and since she knew what was in the first one, (which apparently Whitman’s husband gave to her), seeing it came from the Social Security Administration, destroy them?

I do believe that Meg Whitman - running a huge Corporation at the time, had other/bigger issues to concentrate on when this one letter was mailed out.

“”and what is the claim? what dollar amount””

Gloria doesn’t deal in dollar amounts. From what I heard on the tape with Mark Levin last night and an audio with Hugh Hewitt earlier in the day, the amount is not given. She will only say “reimbursement for mileage” and some unpaid wages. No specifics. I’m sure it’s peanuts so why is Gloria involved except for politics?

No, I posted the image of the "no match letter." Here it is again, stating, "We can't put these earnings on the employee's Social Security record until the name and Social Security number you reported agree with our records":

“”That was a serious error on their part because the note was to her. “”

The husband’s note (if it’s actually his writing) was written on a letter from the Social Security Administration to the EMPLOYER. Whitman is the one who reported the wages and paid the applicable withholding and employer taxes so the letter went to her.

Now that I think about it, I haven’t seen a thing about the CA Franchise Tax Board having a problem with the reporting of those wages. They get the exact same report of wages from the employer that the Social Security Administration gets. Did they not catch it all those years?

I am voting for Meg because of allred.

If not for this Allred charade, then who would you have voted for?

Nightingale sounds awesome. How can we get her traction in the next 30 days. It would be fantastic to beat both Whitman and Brown....they both are liberal anyway. Let’s get a conservative in there.

“”No, I posted the image of the “no match letter.””

Is that supposed to be what was actually received? It’s not what Gloria is holding up in the clip - you can see that one has an itemized structure to it which isn’t on the TMZ image you posted. The image Gloria shows clearly has a signature and there’s no signature on the W-2 notice! It does have the same warning about taking no adverse action
against the employee that the Social Security Administration “no match” letter does.

The Social Security Administration would have been all over this long before the W-2’s are filed for the year (1/31 deadline). They would have received the earnings reports for each quarter of that year and would have known there wasn’t a match each of those quarters. That’s when a “no match” inquiry is sent out - not after receiving the year end earnings record.

We need to see the image better of what Gloria is holding up. It all boils down to the same thing - NO MATCH - but I’m curious now. Can we get to it anywhere else besides the site that requires a password?

They ALL are. Nice as pie while they are taking money from you and then they turn on you like a snake. Seen it a couple of times around here with folks who hire illegals. They brag and brag until something happens and then eat crow. Until everyone sees that this is really killing our way of life for saving a minor amount of $$, we’re just eating toast the illegals laughingly serve us. No morals, no ethics no freedom.

I’ve been talking about Nightingale for months. She is a good candidate and has been traveling all over the state in the past weeks. Good interview here with Terry Anderson.

I just heard a soundbite of an exchange Allred had with Mark Levin, and the wheels should be turning for her disbarment and the surrender of her legal license. She a bald faced liar and her conduct violates those of any profession.

They went after Obama’s aunt.

Obama's aunt is still here, still living off the taxpayers' dollars and doing just fine. Same thing will happen to this maid... except the maid will probably become a folk hero for the left.

Yes. And, SEUI ran a TV ad about it within minutes of the Allred press show, which tells me there was collusion and the whole thing was a big dirty trick. I'm sure the dirty tricks will intensify in the coming weeks... they certainly haven't fired their final shots.

Well ok, to me this looks like, I didn’t know anything about it, is not true. They knew something was wrong.

They did pay good wages but trusted someone else to make sure she was legal. If I lived in CA and I was going to hire someone, I think I would do that check myself. It is easy enough to check if a SSN matches a name. And our whole country has just become so corrupt. Look, CA wants illegals. They don’t want to use e-verify which takes about 30 seconds. So where are all these people supposed to be working anyway?

So I ask you,

If you are a relative of someone who is illegal, are you mad at Meg Whitman for giving her a job?

And if you are not illegal or a relative of someone who is illegal, are you mad at Meg Whitman because she employed someone who was illegal or lied about it?

What would make me mad, is someone lying about it. But I would think hiring illegals would make hispanics very happy, if that’s who you’re pandering to.

So now we have someone who has entered our country illegally, worked here, and commited social security fraud. Is she going to be deported? No, of course not. So what’’s the big taboo of hiring illegals for politicians all about? bullcrap, of course.

If CA wants to be a sanctuary state, then stop crucifying people for hiring them. And don’t freakin lie about it either!! If you want to break federal law and be all high and mighty about it, then do the e-verify check yourself.

geeeez

I've been thinking the same thing. Not only is the maid put in jeporady for the immigration violation, but if she used a fake government ID or used a fraudulent SSN wouldn't these be potential violations of the law?

The other thing is that the letter proves that Whitman and her husband were paying the employer's share of her payroll taxes. Has she been paying her share, or even Federal or State income taxes for that matter? If not, she could be on the hook for seven years of back taxes. The INS may let her skate but the IRS would likely not.

Is putting one's clients in such a position really looking out for their best interests? I mean, her chances of getting any kind of damages from Whitman for wrongful termination or lost wages is approaching zero. And why isn't the media asking any of these questions?
