Be specific.
If you believe you can "fix" immigration once and for all, you're a fool.
Actually, I have more questions for you. There is nothing in current Federal Law to prevent the US Government from securing the borders. Why hasn't the Federal Government secured the borders in spite of the expressed desire of the American People to secure the borders going back for decades?
The US Federal Government doesn't enforce current immigration law, why should any American believe that the Federal Government is going to enforce "Comprehensive Immigration Reform"?
The US Congress loves "comprehensive reform". The American People not so much. Why do you believe "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" is the only solution, when the alternative is to fix problems with the current immigration law (if there are any) piecemeal and with specificity?
We just had "Comprehensive Healthcare Reform" and it's a disaster. Why should any American believe that "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" won't be another disaster? Congress doesn't exactly have a great record on this and doesn't exactly inspire confidence with its competence. Why not be more modest and go with fixing parts of the problem?
