If Jewish people had not been terribly discriminated against, they would run the world.

I have never understood the reason for antisemitism unless it is just pure envy.

Prager wrote a definitive book about the whys of anti-sem.

“Dennis Prager (born August 2, 1948) is an American syndicated radio talk show host, syndicated ... Why the Jews? The Reason for Antisemitism (with Joseph Telushkin) (2003) ISBN 0-7432”

In a nutshell, much of it comes from them being The Chosen People.

Fear of the "Other". Maintaining a cultural identity despite the Diaspora. Refusing to fully integrate.

It was what was needed so as to not disappear as a people.

Usually, when people come to a country, in a few generations, they identify with that host country first. If they don't, suspicions arise, justified or not.

At first, immigrants huddle in ethnic communities, but eventually there is diffusion. The Irish and Italians did not get along in Boston for a long time. Both arrived in large numbers in 1880..the Famine, and Garibaldi's revolution. They competed for jobs. Eventually, they started marrying each other. But among many Jews, marriage outside the group is viewed with horror that threatens the identity of the group and undoes the accomplishment of surviving the Diaspora.

Amen to that. They have continuously contributed the most innovative ideas to all fields of academics, business and medicine. (I'm not stereotyping, just a fact.)and...

If they did run the world it wouldn't be in the state it's in now.

As for me, if they declare war with everyone on earth, I still want to be on THEIR side.
