The Other America Marches on Washington
The American Thinker ^ | 10-2-10 | Kyle-Anne Shiver

Posted on 10/02/2010 8:13:20 AM PDT by paul in cape

Yes, folks, there are two Americas: the authentic America of community builders and the other America, made up of socialist group-thinkers, moochers, and no-accounts, many of them living off government grants or welfare checks.

The tension between these two Americas has been a constant tug-of-war for nearly a hundred years, since our premier socialist-progressive president, Woodrow Wilson, bore the first rotten fruits of liberal fascism on our shores.

With the election of the first socialist-progressive president in decades, the political tension between the two Americas has reached fever pitch. Independent voters, who were lulled like sheep into the lion's den by Barack Obama's conciliatory, I’ll-make-it-all-better rhetoric, have been expressing buyer's remorse for many long months and now yell "Change it back!" as loudly as they shouted "Yes we can!" less than two short years ago.

Obama lied; hope died. And all over the land, Obama's Intolerable Acts are causing authentic America to rise to her feet in surly indignation. Americans are putting their hope back in God, where it belongs, and vowing to cut big government back down to its constitutionally mandated size.

The other America is calling October 2 the "One Nation Rally." Now, there's a real side-buster. They represent the one nation whose every roof and meal are subsidized by the authentic America. They should have held this demand-o-rama on May 5 in solidarity with their fellow socialist travelers around the world.

I will say it again. The only reason this rally is being held on a weekend is so that we cannot joke that only 5 people had to take off work to go.

In all fairness, Teddy Roosevelt also deserves considerable blame, for being Republican-progressive even before Wilson.

To put this in real terms, one of Roosevelt’s critics, H.L. Mencken, produced a vanity press for a limited circle of friends, which was to simply compare speech material of Roosevelt, with the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche, from which it had been plagiarized, with minimal editing.

So while Wilson’s efforts might be described as wanting to turn America into a giant herd of sheep; Roosevelt’s might be described as equally bestial, turning America into a giant pack of wolves. In either case, lowering the nation to a less than human state.

The two alternatives of our nation should not be reduced to either socialism or fascism. Instead our greatest fortune lies in abhorring such extremes.

Unlike at our rallies, our taxes will be paying plenty of overtime work to clean up the trash these trash leave behind. Of course the unions consider that a plus.

What really bothers me about this group is this: How do you automatically complete this phrase "One Nation"? They've bastardized it by turning the Christian reference into a socialist reference by changing the words from "Under God" to "Working Together".

I wouldn't be surprised if these leftists have been working behind the scenes with the ACLU to change "Under God" to "Working Together" in the Pledge of Allegiance. It's much more inclusive, don't you think? And much more meaningful under 0bama what with the forced volunteerism through his Youth Corp. probably not far down the agenda of items he intends to shove through before he's booted out.

Now we can Say the "New Pledge of Allegiance for All Americans" to the new 57 star American flag.

The question here is how many “paid participants” can the left afford to bus-in. Pictures of the participants should be a real hoot.

I just saw a clip this morning...The lack of civility is hard to ignore.

I wonder hoe many were paid to be there.

Definition of socialist in my opinion is some one who wants every thing guaranteed to him or her, whether it be food, housing or what ever the average person has or maybe even more,

this can be and must be supplied by the company if they have a job or it can and must be supplied by the tax payers other wise.

These people will claim to be patriots and would get angry if you hinted that they were socialists, which means they are just a bunch of baby britches wearing children and not grown up enough to know what a free people is all about.

And of course there are the people who would not work if they had a dozen jobs unless it was just long enough to draw disability insurance or to sue some one, we know all about them.

Good article. Except that modern left-wing progressivism did not begin with Wilson. Teddy Roosevelt and Taft were progressives as well, to varying degrees.

It will be safe to say the “Pledge of Allegiance” when Obama and Company completes it's agenda to “Change” America.

Then it will be mandatory or it's back to the “re-education camps” for you....

This pitting of the "haves" vs. the "have-nots" has been spoon-fed by Liberals for DECADEs, and is coming to a head.

There's a reaso guns and ammo have been selling profusely over the past 2 years.....

From the article:

“No stone should be left unturned to bring people and their organizations to Washington.”

Now we know where they find their “supporters”....

“socialist group-thinkers, moochers, and no-accounts, many of them living off government grants or welfare checks.”

And bused there by the unions.
