Civil rights, labor groups rally on National Mall
The goal is to arouse enthusiasm among Democratic voters and stave off an expected GOP comeback in the midterm elections. The rally is also a liberal response to conservative commentator Glenn Beck's rally in August.

WASHINGTON - Thousands of activists from groups that support the Democratic Party gathered for a march and rally on the National Mall on Saturday in a bid to rejuvenate the enthusiasm of more liberal voters and stave off an expected GOP comeback in next month's midterm elections.
Organizers said the rally includes hundreds of groups representing Latinos, blacks, labor and environmental activists, and would be aimed at demands for jobs, justice and education.
The rally, called "One Nation Working Together," is in part a response to conservative commentator Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally in August that drew thousands to hear a call to return to American values of liberty and faith. However, organizers said the "One Nation" rally had been planned since April.
Beck has criticized the liberal response, in part because he said it includes members of socialist groups.

It is not freedom, it is not a show of one's beliefs, it is simply bodies forced to attend an event to present a false impression to all of us.
So it is phony. And VERY VERY TELLING. If the press like ABC AND NBC AND CNN AND CBS fail to mention that many were ORDERED to ATTEND, we will have the final proof that our press is completely willing to lie to its audience.
Haven't you often wondered how the reporters of our main stream press feel about the important information they decide to leave out? Chilling.
Are there any actual photos available right now to make the comparison? I don’t watch network news....I refuse too. I keep reading the same lame MSM descriptions of whats going on and seeing stock photos of before the rally. Where’s the aerial shots showing the 500,00o plus that will compare to 8/28?

If anyone told me a HAD to attend a rally that have socialists and who knows who else, who promotes ‘destroying America’...I would consider myself a slave to that union and I would tell them where to go.

CNN has a photo up on the US page that shows the crowd and it looks pretty small.
The front edge of the reflecting pool is about the extent of the crowd in that photo.

It’s live coverage; no comparisons being drawn,the crowd seems restless, not especially engaged with the parade of speakers.

Just saw a publik skool teacher who couldn't properly read the prepared comments. Would make a great ad for homeschooling.
