Sometimes the outsider part can be very helpful in giving the system a kick-in-the-pants. Ronald Reagan was an outsider in many ways.
The malcontent + "I Won" attitude definitely had no part in Reagan's thinking....

Good point. Reagan had to wait for America to realize it’s failure in electing Carter. Just as we have to wait for Obama to be replaced.
