It is a scream, isn’t it? Some FReepers have said it the Martin Luther King photo, aside from the fact that it is black and white photography - they peg the date and attendance levels on MLK because of the existence of the buildings to the left which have been gone many many years. But, since MSM did not show overheads, this MLK rally or whatever dreamy picture that is, will become the photo-of-record turnout for lefties! I know we’ll be seeing that picture alot more - a tribute to their success (at distortion). :) IF they are cornered on it (the MSM won’t tell) then they are going to say they were honoring the tradition he started.
Did you check out all of Pitney’s photos on Flickr? There is a black and white photo of a couple of SEIU types carrying some BS sign. Below their big whiney sign is another little sign that says, “Bus #087”. LOL!!! Good stuff!
The temporary buildings on the north side of the Mall, many erected during World War I, remained until work began on Constitution Gardens for the U.S. Bicentennial celebration of 1976.
The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his celebrated I Have a Dream Speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963. The National Mall is perhaps the countrys single most visible forum for the exercise of free speech and democracy.
