Growing pains for a centerpiece of health overhaul (atrophy-growing pains, actually)

It's a centerpiece of President Barack Obama's health care remake, a lifeline available right now to vulnerable people whose medical problems have made them uninsurable.

But the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan started this summer isn't living up to expectations. Enrollment lags in many parts of the country. People who could benefit may not be able to afford the premiums. Some state officials who run their own "high-risk pools" have pointed out potential problems.

"The federal risk pool has definitely provided critical access, in some cases lifesaving access, to health insurance," said Amie Goldman, chair of a national association of state high-risk insurance pools. "That said, enrollment so far is lower than we would have expected."

California, which has money for about 20,000 people, has received fewer than 450 applications, according to a state official. The program in Texas had enrolled about 200 by early September, an official in that state said. Goldman, who runs the pool in Wisconsin, said they've received fewer than 300 applications so far, with room for about 8,000 people in the program.

Government economists projected as recently as April that 375,000 people would gain coverage this year, and they questioned whether $5 billion allocated to the program would be enough.

I believe the leftist manufactured plight of the multi-millions of uninsured was nothing more than a political ploy from the get go. Generally the multi millions didn’t want insurance to begin with. That is why they were uninsured by insurance companies. That isn’t to say they were necessarily uninsured.

To take a minuscule manufactured problem and turn it into the greatest government takeover in our history, is a coup they should be given credit for. Their propaganda minister and the congressional thieves who made it happen will be on our list of treasonous lying bastards hereafter know as TLB, but you gotta give em credit for an awfully good “rolling” of the treasury and the people.

Lets see if they are able to handle the push back any better than the American people took the overreaching anti-constitutional, unread, bill of 2000 plus pages, written by Marxists, staffers, out or power ex congressmen and senators, special interest groups, lobbyists, and I would also assume corporate interests, insurance companies, at the expense of the interests of the American people.

It’s pretty simple really. You can’t trust the figures provided by agencies and organizations who predict the need for their services. Simple as that.

Follow the money?

No the money (Wall Street, trial lawyers, AMA, insurers, retirement agencies (AARP), and unions (who DESPERATELY need to dump their people onto the government payola (er, government-funded health care), etc are moving to where the power is going to reside. YEs - All of these special interests who will make money from government takeover of health care want the takeover to go through, but they are not strong enough to make it happen. Many businesses were threatened and bribed and destroyed if they actually opposed healthcare take over.

Only the socialists/democrats are strong enough and immoral enough to DEMAND that it happen. And the MSM’s ABCNNBCBS is socialist enough to force their propaganda down the rest of the country despite the facts.

Note that nobody actually in the health care business wants Obama’s government takeover.

Rather: Follow the power.

And power is more important to the democrat-socialists than the money.

Create the numbers to create the propaganda to create the need to create the power that will follow the money and power.

And the number of people who actually need this part of the program - like the number of homeless invented to create the "homeless crisis" by the homeless crisis industry inside government, homeless aid societies, social workers, and (inner city) churches - are a pure fabrication based on the number of "uninsurable" people they WANT to feel they are helping. So the more people they help, the better the social activists feel.

It's like feeling very happy after you give lots of Christmas presents to yourself using your neighbor's money, so you pass a law to declare that Christmas must be celebrated 52 times a year.
