At 'One Nation' rally, a unionized show of unity
Washington Examiner ^ | October 3, 2010 | Byron York

Posted on 10/03/2010 4:47:05 AM PDT by gusopol3

Organizers of Saturday's "One Nation Working Together" rally at the Lincoln Memorial are proud of their diversity. Before the event, they predicted it would be the "most diverse march in history." It turned out they were right. Looking around the rally, there was Teamsters Local 311, Service Employees International Union Local 1199, Communications Workers of America Local 2336, American Federation of Teachers Local 1, United Auto Workers Amalgamated Local 171, Transport Workers Union Local 100, and representatives of many, many other unions. That's a lot of diversity.

They’re all union hacks and communists.

What’s so diverse about that?

Note most of the “protest” signs were professionally printed. Yeah...like this commie event was a spontaneous outpouring of sentiment. What a (small) bunch of feckless, misguided poltroons. Bury ALL fellow-travelers at the ballot box in November. Vote them out! You have once again seen the enemy. VOTE!

Red shirts, blue shirts, green shirts, yellow shirts, purple shirts.....

Is this one of those 'complete the sequence' questions?

I'm guessing 'brownshirts'.

So, is the message that if you are not a union member you are unworthy of representation and the power of the vote? The cure for this ailment is going to be painful.

“What’s so diverse about that?”

I think the Examiner was being sarcastic.
Note, the only groups they listed were all labor unions.
I gather the rest of the groups were all Communist front organizations...all, typical Obots.

Useful idiots of the mild socialist flavor to the hard Stalinist left, artfully misdirected by the race card.

That’s close to Beck’s read of “collective salvation,” that is Barack Obama’s ( and Jeremiah Wright’s)style of Christianity.

Unions and green groups are as much enemies of the USA as are radical Islam, and these two groups have done more to destroy the USA than all the terrorist attacks combined.

And even after all that it was still a HUGH, 'Fail'

Great article, love the last paragraph:

"One Nation" was scheduled to last from noon until 4:00 pm, but a lot of people headed for the exits well before the last speakers took the stage. By 2:45, when Jealous himself was at the microphone, they were streaming for the buses. As they walked, organizers herded people in the right direction. "OPEIU movin' out! OPEIU movin' out!" shouted one man, a organizer with the Office and Professional Employees International Union. The unions came, and then they left.

I spoke with a woman teacher from Chicago. She had to give a $50 check for her bus ride that her union Rep said won’t be cashed ;-) This way they can say that everyone paid their own way but in reality the “union” paid. But really its the taxpayers, you and me, that are footing the bills in the form of union bailouts. So last month taxpaying self supporting citizens came to DC to voice their concerns over the direction of this country, this month the same taxpayers had to fund socialistic unions who came chanting for more free jobs and hand outs.

Seeing the pictures and the “colorful shirts” ... should give EVERY ONE OF US IMPETUS TO VOTE! There are a “lot” of them ... there MUST be MORE of US (or else?).

Was this a Million Unionist’s March? For every one that shows up they count a thousand and divide by 3 just so they are being fair about the numbers!
