Is there poverty here in NC WV where I now live, absolutely. But if you want to see poverty and absolute destitution, you should visit where I used to live......NYC.

Point well taken. I humbly suggest you see before making a judgment though. Dirt poor does not come close in many areas. I ve been around the northern half extensively. I do not plan to leave permanently. No I don't live there right now. It is poor monetarily outside the hotspots like Morgantown, Clarksburg, etc. that feed the FBI complex. Much of the interim between that and the state seat is wilderness with roads.
