It's a centerpiece of President Obama's health care remake, a lifeline available right now to vulnerable people whose medical problems have made them uninsurable.

But the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan started this summer isn't living up to expectations. Enrollment lags in many parts of the country. People who could benefit may not be able to afford the premiums. Some state officials who run their own "high-risk pools" have pointed out potential problems.

Obama and RAT insidious FRAUD in action. Expose the DeathCare fraud and expose it’s true purpose which is absolute control over the American people and a designed genocide of the disabled, the elderly, and anyone else this dictatorship chooses to let die via denying health care. Once the truth is exposed, We The People will DEMAND it’s repeal and prosecute the plotters.

Goldman, who runs the pool in Wisconsin, said they've received fewer than 300 applications so far, with room for about 8,000 people in the program.

That's not how it was supposed to work.

Well, lets figure out why the program in Wisconsin has 7700 extra spaces. Shall we?

First you have to go to the assumption of the program.

1. People with pre-existing conditions don't have health care.
2. People with pre-existing conditions can't get health care
3. People with pre-existing conditions can and will voluntarily pay premiums
4. The quality of the care under this program is superior than other options.

If all the above is true, people would be flooding this program.

The problem is, in most cases, one or more isn't true.

This program will be great for the small percentage of people who cannot get health care because their provider dropped them and are willing and able to pay the premiums.

People who could benefit may not be able to afford the premiums.

I imagine the premiums would have to be pretty high. Because that person waiting to buy insurance until all their arteries are 90% closed is now going to have to cover the cost of the quadruple bypass surgery, the plan administration fees, and a slight profit to the insurance company in their premiums. Not to worry, though, I'm sure the Democrats will step in at any time now and mandate that policies for pre-existing conditions cost no more than policies for people without any health issues.

The assumption of the gullible public was that pre-existing conditions would be covered for free.

Saw some one post on another thread, that you had to read the ‘fine’ print, that there are regs/rules governing when the pre-existing conditions would be covered.
