MEXICO CITY (AFP) – Northern Mexico was shaken by a weekend of violence, with 34 deaths blamed on drug cartels and a series of grenade attacks that injured a dozen people, officials said Sunday.

Twelve people were hurt in a late night grenade attack at a busy plaza outside Monterrey, according to officials who said it was one of four bombings to rock the industrial border city over the weekend.

Authorities said Sunday that the grenade was thrown by unidentified assailants at about 11 pm Saturday (0400 GMT Sunday) near the town hall in Guadalupe, a suburb of the bustling city near the border with the United States.

Earlier Saturday, three explosive devices were detonated, including one near the US consulate and another not far from a prosecutor's office that wounded a guard. The blasts damaged roads and nearby vehicles, said police, who have yet to identify the culprits.

Stupid American druggies have ruined my vacation spot.

I wish they’d think about what they’re funding once in a while.

I was out in Aspen Colorado last month and the place was overrun with wealthy Mexicans. Actually mothers with their children, very few fathers.

Soon, one or more grenades are gonna be thrown into a US restaurant. When that happens, Obama & Co. are gonna be political dead meat.

As long as it happens in DC, I'm going to have to agree with him.

There was a video game called syndicate that dealt with the question of cartels going for world domination.

I figured there’d be a time when reality followed fantasy.

I used to find some “glee” in reading some of this,as this underpinned how corrupt the Mexican government was becoming.

Now I am just appalled by how bad it has to become that cartels are becoming power brokers.Again this is a fantasy, nothing that should be happening in real life.

Mexican violence involving drug wars has already spilled over into parts of the US....but don't worry about law enforcement......b/c the ABA is poised to consecrate Hispanics to a higher order.

The ABA will hold public hearings across the country to “study” whether the US legal system is “addressing the needs of Hispanics.”

The reason we'll have “Hispanic law”? Because Stephen N. Zack the new president of the ABA is a Cuban-lawyer from Miami, Florida. Can you say self-interest?

Think of the incongruity of the "American" Bar Association's new president, Stephen N. Zack, announcing a new direction for US law, to hold public hearings across the country to “study” whether the US legal system is “addressing the needs of Hispanics.”

The ABA is no longer concerned with “US law.” They Are Peddling Race Instead of Law.

What's next Zack----imposing Sharia Law on Americans?

The disturbed left’s identity politics, its propensity to separate and balkanize American into different segments moves ahead apace with the era of Obama........

Obama....you remember him, that post-racial president that was supposed to “heal” America? Yeah, that one.

We have a failed state on our southern border.

There seems to be a lot of military contingency planning going on right now concerning this. Needless to say, no one is talking about it much. Then again, the MSM isn’t asking those sorts of questions much.

To a degree, it IS Bush's fault. He failed to secure the border during his tenure.

But it became Obama’s problem in Jan. 2009. Anything that happens after that is his responsibility, & the responsibility of our current Congress for not addressing the problem.
