I believe that every time you call a freedom-loving patriot a "hater" you do the leftists' work for them. I suggest you think very carefully about whether you have allowed the leftists to implant their evil worldview into your mind.
One simple question for you, sir: Is Pastor Terry Jones a "hater". Was his planned Koran-burning motivated by hatred? How do you know what is in his heart?
Ok hate is a strong word. How about ‘dislike’. Call it whatever you want it’s wrong. But I will say this he should not have backed down from burning the korans once he felt political pressure. That is a sign of weakness.
Is Terry Jones a hater? Maybe, but I would call his religious views extreme. He should be trying to preach to muslims not burn their religious text. As for what is in his heart, I don’t know the man so wouldn’t comment on that. As for being motivated by hatred, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of his congregation hates muslims, many people do.
Just because I think that burning a book is stupid and a waste of time does not mean that the leftist moonbats have got ahold of me.

I agree with you on this point. Although I would never burn a book of any religious significance, I will say that the pastor in this case should not have backed down from burning the korans once he felt political pressure. No one will take him seriously again.

Each of us is going to see this thing at least a little bit differently, but I am heartened by the increased level of discussion just in the last couple of months or so regarding the threat to our freedom posed by jihad.
I give Pastor Terry Jones much of the credit for this increased awareness, and I hope that many others follow in his footsteps.
Sharia is creeping into Western society worldwide. We need to repulse it everywhere.
Here’s hoping that September 11, 2011 sees a Western world united against intimidation from jihadis and leftists.

If we want to preserve our rights for now and future generations, we need to draw teach the muslims that their ideas of how we should live are irrelevant. Although it seems silly, We need to burn the Korans, just to make a point.

Basically, we as a society have to burn the Korans now, due to the phenomenon that you mentioned. The issue transcends Terry Jones. If we don’t the jihadis figure we are weak and can be pushed around. The fact that so many of our own attacked Terry tells the jihadis that they’ve practically won, so they just need to keep up the pressure a little longer.
My understanding: we’d be better off if every year, a bunch of people burned Korans - on “Worldwide Burn a Koran Day”. And if every year, our government reaffirmed that because of the First Amendment, it can’t do anything. At least then, it would be on record that we’ve still got our rights.
What we don’t want is to wind up with the liberals convining people that unpopular things are illegal to do, and that the constitution is somehow not operative when things are unpopular enough. If that comes to pass, we’ve lost our rights for good - because the liberals determine what’s unpopular via the media.
That’s fine, like you said it’s your right to burn korans if you want to. I just don’t think it accomplishes anything. I think draw mohammed day was a funnier take on this whole issue.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it would be hard to live in a Muslim country like Indonesia without hearing the call to prayer constantly.
Repetition is the key to memorization, and hearing something over and over again can easily lead to it being memorized whether one wants to remember or not. Not being able to get a song out of one’s own head is an example of involuntary memorization.
Someone living in Indonesia would, I believe, have heard the call to prayer far more often than the most popular rock song on the radio today.
I'll blame President Obama for lots of things, but being able to recite the Muslim call to prayer after spending much of his childhood in a predominantly Muslim country is not one of them.
