I was reading they now have over 800,000 servers spread across several dozen data centers around the world. They pack their computers into standard 1AAA shipping containers — 1160 machines per container, two CPUs, 16GB, two hard drives per machine. 250 kw power consumption. Each computer has its own battery backup (cheaper and more easily scalable than a central battery backup).

I wonder how many boxes the NSA has?
