The Governor of Texas should file an official request stating that there is imminent danger of invasion and under Article I Section 10 the State of Texas will take all appropriate steps to defend itself unless the Federal government effectively defends the border against invasion within 5 days.

That's an excellent idea in my estimation and I'd really like to see it happen!

With the election just weeks away, I think it would certainly galvanize support for Rick Perry. Anyone (including some Republicans who justifiably question Perry's Conservative credentials) would find it impossible to cast a ballot for Bill White.

All that Governor “Rick” would have to say is “Help” and he could have 500,000 men who are already armed men who would go to the border. Drop of a hat. Line in the sand. All it would take.

Controlling it? That is another thing.
