The US is steadily become a lawless country. Politics is paramount, and contracts and property rights are gradually becoming worthless.

In all fairness, banks SHOULD be made to ensure that the foreclosures being undertaken are fully legal and properly documented. We continue to read about banks seizing the wrong houses, changing the locks and throwing people and their belongings out on the street and... get this... LUCKY FOR THEM they have a shiny piece of paper that says it is OK for them to make this kind of mistake.

This should not be legal. In these situations the banks and their employees are no different than home invaders or robbers, and should be dealt with accordingly.

At least JPMorgan was caught in blatant perjury — a loan officer swore that he had personal knowledge that the claims made by JPMorgan were accurate. Except under cross examination, the lawyer admitted he had signed 10,000 of these per month and had as much personal knowledge as I do.

But really it’s no big surprise to me that the large banks are so badly screwing up the foreclosure process. They are led by the identical people who so badly screwed up two years ago. Guess they are too big to fail and need more money to pay for their bonuses....

Don’t people think by now after we bailed out the banks that would stop the bankers from being greedy and not coming forward with phony foreclosure documents which have been forged. That in itself is FRAUD and all the bankers want their cake and eat it to just like the federal no reserve who has no reserves and has NO money but what they create from nothing.Americans are being robbed and played for fools daily by bankers and the greedy “us” government who got the country in this mess to BEGIN with. The American people sure aren’t the us governments girlfriend but they sure are the governments cash cow and slave.

From what I read on this recently, some banks are utilizing 'robo-signers' in their mortgage departments, and rubber stamping foreclosures by the thousands in some cases, when they're supposed to be reviewing - by law - each individual case. I work in banking IT (for the moment), and I can tell you that for every honest person employed, there is always a blue-ribbon sleazebag counterpart. I can easily envision a few cretins going overboard and trying to kick people out en masse. That's why we bank at a small-town bank - we know them, they know us, and there's a level of trust you're not going to get with one of the Big Four.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

All foreclosures should be on the correct property and the laws should be followed.

If forclosures are halted it will be the end of the American city. No one will pay property taxes if they aren’t paying their mortgages.

I bet in my county, 25% of the people would decide to stop making their house payments, spend the money on something else. Lorain County, Ohio.

So the profligate spending homeowner of the 2000s gets a pass while the miserly spender gets to, well, live miserly. That sounds fair.

I wish they would wait until we buy our house. We have our eyes on a nice place for 800k which is affordable if we don’t pay it.
Love this Obama fella.

We have been trying to refinance for 2 years. We have been on time with our mortgage, have good credit, but because BoA holds are mortgage, no Fannie or Freddie we are screwed.

Last advice we got from our BoA mortgage rep was to stop paying our mortgage, which we are not going to do. Know 2 other people who are in the same position with BoA. One of them is a banker with Key Bank.

Just sign me: Hostage of Bank of America.
