Campbell soups of Canada are now offering hallal foods to Moslem customers. Don't the Moslems offer a prayer to allah when they slaughter the animal? If this is so it is meat that has been sacrificed to idols which is against the Christian religion. I am sure that someone can quote the chapter and verse on this.
Is Campbell kosher as well? Jews have been in this country since the days of George Washington but they are not catered to the way the johnny-come-lately moslems are. I don't mind a rabbi blessing the animal since the God of the Jews is the same as the Christians but allah is something else all together.
Didn’t you mean that quality control has gone to hallal?
From the Muslims — submit to Islam or die.
TO the Muslims — give up Islamic world conquest or die!
I’ve always liked their Goat Noodle Soup!
It’s free enterprise. Maybe the only remaining shred of free enterprise, in fact.
If Campbells wants to do that for Export... Go for it..
Just don’t force that Barbarism on the rest of us...
Until I see otherwise... bye bye Campbells.
I am sorry that I could not get to the hallal page. I have trouble with my cut and paste so I had to copy the web address and I do not know if there was anything at the end of the address that was not visible. If you go to the Campbell site you will find a list on the left, scroll down and you will find hallal certified.
Rabbi’s do not bless an animal before it is slaughtered, nor do they bless the meat after it is cut. Kosher simply means the animal was fir for consumption and killed according to Jewish Law.
I looked down the list of their products, even though it does say hallal certified it doesn’t say anything about being kosher. Hmmm.....
Thanks for the enlightenment.
How are they going to do Hallal Bean and Bacon?

You got me. ;}
Yes, they do. I knew someone who toured a hallal butcher shop...it was an interesting story.
How much more sodium is going to be required to
A.) Kill you?
B.) Make you believe this crap?
C.) Tell Campbell’s to get lost.
Hmmm..... Isn't it amazing how Islamic that sounds?

new york | Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Oreos. M&M’s. These are some of America’s favorite sweets that have come under kosher certification in recent years.
It’s not just desserts.
Campbell’s Soup, one of the oldest and most noted food manufacturers in the country remember Andy Warhol’s famous prints? announced this week that its condensed Vegetarian Vegetable Soup is now certified kosher by the Orthodox Union.
The first cans bearing the OU kashrut symbol, Campbell’s first kosher soups, rolled off the production line in August at the firm’s plant in Maxton, N.C., and will appear on store shelves in the Northeast this month. Nationwide distribution will begin in December.
1 Corinthians 8 talks about eating food offered to idols.
