WASHINGTON: Former military ruler Pervez Musharraf has admitted that Pakistan had trained underground militant groups to fight in Kashmir, the first such admission by a top leader of the country. Musharraf's candid remarks came days after he announced his return to active politics from London where he has been living in self-imposed exile. "They (underground militant groups to fight against India in Kashmir) were indeed formed," Musharraf told German magazine Der Spiegel in an interview.

The worst kept secret in the WOT-the Paki military, which is an army with a country has always hunted with the hounds and ran with the hares. And it’s a policy which has continued to reap dividends for them-keep India bleeding, milking the Yanks for aid while continuing to buy weapons from China and developing ties with the whole spread of rogue states.
I hate to be pessimistic but the conflict between these two nuclear powers is intense and rooted in Islamic religious fanaticism. Until 1947, Pakistan was part of India when Lord Mountbatten and the British made the partition. The intention was that Muslims in NW India would stop persecuting Hindus and other indigenous religions. Yet, despite refuges for both religions and huge population transfers, they didn’t know the nature of the beast. Pakistani Islamist fanatics still love jihad - and now, via Afghanistan, can enjoy killing Americans.
