One thing that will help people save money is to learn more about home nursing and caring for the dying. It is so tragic for people to have to give so much of their life savings to the medical/institution system at end of life, when with courage and training people could care for their elderly parents and relatives and save their inheritance.

The only time our loved one was placed in professional nursing care was after my parent entered Hospice. Our parents and grandparents were cared for by family before they passed away.

It’s much worse than that! We are being brain washed into believing that we need every preventive diagnostic test to prevent catastrophic problems. Well, those costs are exorbitant and much more than if problems occur. So, no wonder Health Costs are skyrocketing!

If we all just had catastrophic insurance, things would be much better. After all, most could pay for occasional medical care, it is just the high cost of hospitalization that causes problems.

Drugs, most could pay for as needed. It would be only the few high cost items that would be a problem but asking everybody to pay for those is not right.

Health care is not and should not be something that we take for granted. We live our lives as we choose - many choose a much riskier lifestyle. Others should not be paying for that decision.
