The lesson from these attempted attacks is clear. Islamic radicals are trying to kill us not because of the policies of George W Bush or Tony Blair, or because there aren't enough U.N. or EU resolutions condemning Israel, or any other grievances the left are trying to project upon our enemies. The reason America and Western Europe are being attacked is because radical Islamists hate the Western way of life. They hate that we are not enslaved to their extremist version of Islam, and they hate the freedom and prosperity that we enjoy in the West.
The left are dead wrong on this issue -- the choice is not to fight or appease, but to fight or surrender. Radical Islamists will try to attack our countries whenever we refuse for a moment to give in to their demands, whether it be by removing a dictator from power, by refusing to throw Israel to the wolves, by banning a certain type of clothing, or even just by insisting on remaining free from theocracy -- we in the West will always be a target for radical Islam.

The popular argument that they hate “the west” for whatever reason is nonsense. They have hated EVERYONE back thru history, before there was “a west”.
In a way, I can understand why the Muzzies hate us....when they see Feminazis wanting to kill babies, when they see Hollywood entertainers waving their boobs around, when they see grown men French-kissing each other (as opposed to proper way for Muslims- only little boys in the privacy of their own cave), when they see an effete, limp-wristed little Marxist of a President showing weakness in front of them, I’m not surprised that Islam hates us so.
The thing to understand is that in the BIG picture,
the left and Islam are on the same side.
They seek to remove the Christian influence from the earth and impose Satan’s kingdom.

Reminds me of the “Coexist” bumper sticker I see on liberal cars here in Minnestoopid. Of course which religion has the problem with getting along with all the others? Is it the first symbol(C being the crescent), or the last symbol (t being the Cross)? Hint: one of the answers indicates a major overdose of Kool-Aid.

What are you talking about, bert? Many things that Muslims embrace are called sin by Christians. Do Baptist have a policy of killing Catholics and Jews or anyone else who is not a Baptist? Do Christians embrace "honor killings" to assuage some man's ego? Do Christians consider women hardly more than livestock?
It is true that Marxists want to eliminate God and the Muslims have Allah but is Allah, as worshipped by the Muslims, really a god as we perceive it? He seems more a creation of Mohammed's fevered mind to justify his perversions.
I always want to ask the owner of a car with that bumper sticker whether they think Muslims really WANT to "coexist", or if they know of any Muslim with that bumper sticker on their car.
However, a certain FReeper which I consider a hero told me a different tactic. As you see the person approaching their car, deliberately stare at the sticker and then say "wow, that's cool! I never noticed the hidden message in the spaces between the symbols before!"
They'll spend hours trying to find it.

You are right. There were no Hollywood tarts in the 700s, but the Muslims were already sharpening their swords, being offended, going on the offensive, pillaging, raping and murdering, taking things that did not belong to them.

When the Sunnis and Shiites are not slaughtering eachother, they try to assassinate everbody else. Look at every trouble spot in the world: Islam is involved in almost every case.
How many libs thought the only reason we are attacked is because of Bush? I’m sure Bush was responsible for the five Al-Qaeda attacks on us before he got elected in 2000. If there is one good thing about the election of Obama, it is to prove to these dolts that Islamo-fascists don’t care who is president, until we all submit to the dictates of radical Islam, we are to be attacked. Europe is starting to get it, maybe the braindead American left will wake up.
