HUH? I would say that seems a “little” excessive. Does this include test firing with custom bedding and tuning for each rifle?

Surely they could just buy new rifles. For less than half that price!!

What a tremendous waste of taxpayer’s money! The new Savage Arms 110 BA in .338 Lapua will shoot rings around the .300 Winchester for thousands less per rifle. IMHO of course :)

.300 WinMag is a good round for long distance work.

$7,800 per rifle for an upgrade? Remington lists the civilian version (308 Winchester) Model 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD with a MSRP starting at $757.
