Jay Leno Criticised Over 'Sexist' Christine O'Donnell Joke

Jay Leno, the television talk show host, and Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, have been criticised for making a sexual joke about Christine O'Donnell, the Republican Senate candidate.

Leno asked MacFarlane on his Tonight Show programme whether he would like to have "sexual relations" with Ms O'Donnell, the Tea party-backed candidate in Delaware.

MacFarlane replied: "I think the second she opened her mouth, it would probably ruin everything," to which Leno said: "Or make it really good."

They were accused of sexism by Name It. Change It, an anti-misogyny group, which claims that their comments are representative of a wider problem of media coverage of women politicians.

I’ve met and spoken with Leno. He is a pretty cool guy. He is well known for doing gigs at parties for rich Democrats where he makes fun of Republicans and Conservatives. I met Leno at such a party that was thrown by a very wealthy Democrat friend of mine. All Leno is doing is buttering his bread. It is a business to him and a very very good one.

The most fun thing with Leno is talking to him about cars.

They’d never make a comment like that about Pelosi or hillary.

You are comparing apples to oranges. They can’t make those jokes about Nancy and Hillary because they are married. Maybe your post should be Britney Spears and Kim Kardashian due to their single status. I assume both are democrats. Also Nancy and Hillary are mothers. At least find two Democratic politicians who are single and then you can compare the Republican and Democratic ladies. I believe that they thought O’Donnell was cute and wanted to date her since the one guy was single. We are getting so sensitive lately. A single man notices single women....or are we so out in left field that even that is not normal.

Now, now, now. You're looking at this wrong. The proper thing to do is to ask how many of you ladies would like to have sex with MacFarlane.

Imagine being enveloped by the flab of his stomach as his soft, doughy hands caress your arms, with his taco-tinged breath hot and clammy against your cheeks through his unbrushed teeth.

No normal woman would want to spend time with MacFarlane and wouldn't unless she desperately needed money.

No normal man would object to spending some time with Miss O'Donnell.

And that is the diff between conservatives and liberals.

Hey Jay, I dare you to make the same comments about Michelle Obama.

Yes, or her "big fat ass". Saying those exact words would not even come close to what they said about O'Donnell.

Inappropriate comments have nothing to do with marital status or number of children. What I was referring to is that they aren’t treating O’Donnell as a serious political candidate.

Thank you for clarifying. I did not get that originally. I do agree with you for sure. They never took Sarah seriously either....I believe they do now (at least more than before).

Yes, I think he does. Seth McFarlane (creator of Family Guy) was on Bill Maher and said “I would wreck that”.

I don’t have a problem with it personally, but there are a lot of people who would be offended, and some of those might now be Christine supporters.

I don’t have a problem with the idea that Christine is hot and normal men want to have sex with her. Maybe it’s bad, I dunno.
