I live down in Tippecanoe County. This story is very disturbing. Looking at the map of the area, it would appear that the suspect traveled on local roads to get from Will County to Lowell Indiana. He did not jump on Interstate 80. He may still be in that area.

I know the schools in Lake County were closed earlier this week, for safety reasons. Anyone know if this is still the case?

WLS news just reported that Will County Sheriff’s police have made an arrest of a mentally unstable man.

I read both the links at the bottom of this article. I did read about the schools being closed. I do not know if this has changed. One article was talking about businesses locking their doors and looking at people through the door before they would let them in. They also said most people are just staying away.

I think it was the link to the sheriff’s office that had him saying lock your doors and if you have a gun, defend yourself.(just an approximation of what he said).

Scary for sure. And ya know, most rural folks know each other. If they don’t know the person, they certainly know vehicles. Makes me wonder where this guy came from.
