I’d much prefer Bush to 0bama, that’s a given,
but he talks about “the Elites” as if he weren’t one of them.
Of course the LEFTIST elites shun him, but he didn’t do much to disempower them by shrinking the size of the bureaucracy.
He came from wealth and influence, but he never told us how to live our lives. That's elitism.
W went to DFW Airport to greet troops returning home. He didn't alert the media that he was going to be there. He took the time to personally greet as many individual soldiers as he could. That is not the action of an "elite".
He was born to privilege, yes. But when you consider how he chooses to interact with people, and the humility with which he serves others -- especially our soldiers -- he chooses NOT to be part of the Elites.
BTW: Did that well-known elitist, Ronald Reagan, reduce the size of the federal government?
“Of course the LEFTIST elites shun him, but he didnt do much to disempower them by shrinking the size of the bureaucracy.”
If he had done that, he would have been even more heroic - probably in the Reagan mold. But he is honorable, and certainly compared to any RAT politician.
