I live in Carlsbad; one mile from Kelly School. We used to live directly across the street from the school and our children attended Kelly.

Our youngest son-in-law is a Carlsbad police officer. Report from my daughter should be accurate. Two children were injured and life-flighted to Rady Children’s Hospital. It seems verified that their injuries were not life-threatening. Apparently they were grazed by gunfire but that is not solidly confirmed.

A man who lived nearby and was involved in the apprehension/taking down of the shooter said he had more ammo and was carrying a “gas can”. When spoken to, the nut didn’t make any sense. That’s all I know at this point.

I lived in Carlsbad from 1992 to 1996....loved it there. My kids went to Magnolia and Valley Jr. High. Is Kelly the school south of Tamarack and West of El Camino Real?
