The real news here is that cohabitation and illegitimacy are surging amongst lower class whites. Which is a real problem, because college educated middle class folks aren’t the ones committing crimes or sucking the welfare system dry.
It is the lower classes that are most in need of traditional Judeo-Christian values to stay on the straight and narrow.
It’s because of the government. If you are not married, it is a lot easier to get entitlements.
I personally know several lower class whites with babies who are not getting married because otherwise they lose government handouts.
I can also say older folk don’t get married because it messes up their social security and such. Sort of surprising to see, as older folk are much more convinced of the importance of legal marraige, but I can understand why.
