The reason this event did not make waves in the national news media is because nothing unusual or unexpected happened. Mary Matalin explained this phenomenon a decade (or more) ago. I'm pretty sure that if someone tried that kind of jive at a Tea Party rally, the demonstrators would have handled it themselves, long before the coppers were needed.

Regardless, it was one individual who did not seem to be representative of the mood of the “crowd”, such as it was, in general. I agree she was a nasty piece of work. The disappointing thing for the Lefties is that it required Park Police to defuse the situation.
