Well, yes. but the lady was old enough to know the score, and if she was raised in a good Catholic household of the period, she had been taught the meaning of
“occasion of sin.”
Hogwash! The “occasion of sin” is not only applicable to Catholics but to all who believe in the existence of God and His laws.
