“We hope a revolution among scientists is underway. Maybe it’s too much to ask for.”

It’s not too much to ask of actual scientists, though so many of them haven’t been heard until now.

My late daddy was a meteorologist who watched the AGW movement from it’s inception.

He always told me it was bunk.

Thanks for the post, and the link!

What is really sad is that so many are knowingly willing to see the economy that supports them wrecked as long as they continue to get their cut. There are nearly as many rationalizations as there are individuals, but it all boils down to the same thing, subjective standards of truth.

BF Skinner is probably more responsible for this morass in our educational system than any other, and what do you know but his justification for it was essentially Malthusian.

“It is of course, the global warming scam, with the (literally) trillions of dollars driving it, that has corrupted so many scientists, and has carried APS before it like a rogue wave. It is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life as a physicist.”

Bravo Professor Lewis.

There are many actual climate scientists who’ve tried to speak out, but haven’t been heard.

The last Oregon Climatologist was a PhD in meteorology at OSU. Because he disagreed with the Governor’s Climate Change panel...which consisted of no scientists but at least one Yoga instructor...on AGW, he was fired.

Those folks who lead the AGW crap aren’t really climate scientists in the first place.

Thank you for all that you’ve done WRT this subject.

Thank you. It has cost me thirteen years without an income, probably over $1.25 million in lost income and I wouldn't change a thing. Most of it would have gone to taxes anyway.

"Sociology has long been notorious for this, but it is truly sad to see the "hard sciences" become corrupted as well."

Sir, I appreciate your above statement. While I am no where as educated as you, the small amount of college I experienced made me question even Sociology 101 at the time, simply because I had lived life and found many of their theories erroneous (remember the nature vs nurture issue where nurture was the prevailing theory?).

I realized at the time that Sociology was not an exact science, but did what I had to for a passing grade.
Later, Time Magazine made a big deal out of the "newly" discovered differences between boys and girls, which killed the nurture theory. My wife and I laughed at that article, having a young boy and young girl and watching how they developed.

Not knowing your field, and having no education of earth sciences, I still agree with you. I have read too many climatologists who disagree with the CO2 global warming theory. I read almost every day that some new "earth physics/climate experts" are now starting to question Gore's and others' assumptions. And that is all they are - assumptions. They show some poor polar bear sitting on a small ice floe, but don't bother to mention that the polar bear population has increased some 3 fold over the last decades.

They also claim we shouldn't drill in ANWR because we will kill the caribou, out in that vast wasteland. What they don't show is the photos with all the caribou lying around the pipeline from Purdue Bay, not to mention a photo of a polar bear walking on top of the pipeline. I saved the photos if you want to see them.

The true climate scientists are currently looking at the Sun's cycles. Plus, the Gorebots forget about why Greenland was named that, when it was actually green and fertile. Again, they forget or ignore Sun cycles.

I could go on. I think so much is to scare people for more grants and for others to make money.

Remember back in the 1970's we were facing a new Ice Age according to all the media reports? Remember when we were told that the world population would starve billions and push us towards extinction? Remember the alcar scare that devasted the apple industry that didn't pan out?

I just wanted to thank a man of science for having a unbiased outlook. When you live 60 years as I have, you tend to realize a scam from actual science. Best, Sir.

Never did hear who leaked the original documents. I believe folks from the CIA did it, paying back Nancy P for Her tantrum, She was trying to stick t to them. I’d like to believe it was them

The form the backlash against this fine gentleman takes will say more about the AGW scammers than anything else could. Sadly, I’m sure there will be backlash.

Those folks who lead the AGW crap aren’t really climate scientists in the first place. Those folks who perpetrated the abuses spelled out in resignation letter are not scientists. One is not defined as a scientist by one's degree(s) or by one's position(s); rather, it is one's behavior that determines whether one is a scientist or not. Those who have opted to tread the path of corruption rather than the path of the scientific method are no longer scientists.

There are many professors like Hal Lewis out there. They are becoming bolder. Many see the scam’s terrible consequences with no window dressings applied. They know what crime is when they see it.
