I said my objection to open homosexuality is that it will create another protected class. I am for honoring the military code across the board, equally and fairly, and am distressed that it isn’t being done now. If that were being done, the issue wouldn’t even exist.
You didn’t cite any references supporting your contention that monogamous heterosexual couples are deviant and out of the norm, for one thing.
Second, your slinging the criticism of “bigotry” around when it is not proper use when it applies to deviant mentally ill and dangerous behavior, and your pretense that homosexuals in the military will be fine (except for the special protected class part, which is of course another reason they should not be allowed in) shows me that you are a typical libertarian who can type out slogans but cannot think rationally or be guided by moral absolutes.
You could try Kinsey survey—— 12% of males report having only one sexual partner in their lifetime. And I suppose, being Kinsey, they included homosexuals, so the number for Heteros has got to be even lower. That’s deviant by definition, but I was only kidding, though in a factual way.

It's straw man argument. I didn't discuss taking "rights" away from anyone. I simply stated the behavior should be condemned for what it is -- psychological damage caused by some sort of emotional trauma or abnormal upbringing that leads in general to promiscuity in males and depression.

That occurs at the point allowing a behavior starts diminishing the quality of life for everyone. Libertarians consistently support legalizing behavior that has or will do just that.
If there is any outrage I may have on this issue it is not premised in the moral relative argument you put forth.
I do not see a judge declaring adulterers, thieves, liars, etc. as having a "right" to serve in the military. I do see a judge -a TYRANT, usurping the will of the people and pulling from thin air a moral declaration -one without premise or authority derived from either God or the people. Where exactly does this judge that you support get the authority to declare this?

No, ‘you’ succeeded in getting a long time financial and content contributor banned. I come from this from several directions, mostly from fairness. But, I have two daughters who have 5 Iraq tours between them as combat medics and they both think that banning soldiers solely for the reason of sexual preference is morally wrong. I agree. They served with known homosexuals and one of them credits a fellow soldier known to be homosexual from saving her from death or certain serious injury by taking the wheel of their humvee from a panicked SGT during an ambush and driving through direct fire to keep them in contact with the convoy ahead of them. So I guess I am biased for that reason. They also told me of the rampant screwing around on base and numerous pregnancies, alleged rapes, divorces, etc, committed by heterosexual soldiers in their unit. Saying a person who may have a flaw but keeps it to themselves is unworthy of serving when so many disgrace the uniform is hypocritical. I in no way support what I understand to be the ‘homosexual agenda’ and have argued against it always, but in this case I know there have been honorable things done by flawed people and its wrong to condemn them without some consideration we all would need. I created a new account to answer the many responses, but am done with this forum that is apparently too cowardly and hypocritical to debate issues.
It looks like I won’t be able to respond since my posts are being reviewed, which is a shame. But in case, Sparky, I don’t argue for openly practicing sexual activity of ANY kind in the military. That was my point. It shouldn’t enter into it. No sexual activity between soldiers means just that. Enforce it, and it won’t be an issue.
How does what one practices in the privacy of a bedroom infringe upon your ability to L L and PH? As I said, I argue often and long that spending billions of dollars on HIV is wrong because it is a disease of CHOICE and the personal responsibility of the afflicted almost always. Public displays infringe upon my ability to enjoy public areas and I oppose that, from either side of the coin. I got banned for arguing that the LEGAL private behavior of individuals should not preclude them from service and that any sexual activity between soldiers is prohibited and should be enforced. I also argued that the best reason to deny gays from serving is that they will become a protected class with a card to play as so many soldiers play every day. For that, I am banned?
Kinsey was the first study to come up in Google. Look it up if you are unwilling to admit the obvious. Find a source that refutes it, I couldn’t. It is a minority of men who have only one opposite sex partner in their lifetime. The norm in the US is 8. In Australia it is 24. Fewer than 20% of males in the US are lifetime monogamous-— which makes it deviant by definition. It is OUTSIDE THE NORM. It describes me, so far, so clearly I don’t find it insulting, just factual.
