The photo is from 1972, after Kerry was no longer a VVAW leader. Kerry's meetings with the Vietnamese communists in Paris took place in 1970.

According to the caption and text at the link, the year of the VVAW Paris meeting was 1971 while Kerry was still a leader. In any case, if the mods see fit, they can delete all of our posts on the subject.

"The Vietnam Veterans Against The War (VVAW) sent their own delegation to Paris to meet with the representatives of the National Liberation Front (AKA Viet Cong) in 1971. At this time John Kerry was their spokesman and defacto leader.

[Interesting Times]

I stand corrected. The date for this meeting is July 17, 1971 - after Kerry's Senate appearance, but while he was a VVAW leader (see the WinterSoldier.com timeline). I still don't think he was there.
