A lot of pundits describe the state as “very blue.” But this is a relatively recent phenomenon, wouldn’t you say? They elected Republican governors (even if they were “moderate”) from 1976 to 1998. If I’m not mistaken, Republicans controlled the legislature for at least part of the time prior to 2002. Republicans did OK when it came to the congressional delegation. Then all of a sudden 0bama runs for the Senate and he was such an unstoppable force they could hardly come up with anyone to oppose him. If IL had been smart and seen through this empty suit just maybe they could have spared the rest of the country from what we’re going through now!

Yes. And what a sleazy way Zero has ascended through politics! Look up how he removed his competition prior to his US Senate campaign. Then read about Jack Ryan, the Republican who was leading Zero until Zero's lawyers got a judge to open Ryan's sealed divorce decree. His wife, actress Jeri Ryan, had accused him of asking her to go to a sex club to watch other couples. When asked about this comment, she said ‘you say all sorts of things to get custody of your kids’. This forced Jack Ryan to drop out of a race he was winning handily. Zero has been a thug from the get-go. Very sad that Illinois and many naive Americans have subjected the country to this MISERABLE FAILURE of a man.
