Saga of Uncle Feds explains voter anger
Chicago Tribune ^ | 15 oct 2010 | John Kass

When the Democrats were poised to win the national elections two short years ago, the media took notice of all the hope wafting across America.

There was even hope in Berlin, and Americans were told to be encouraged about the huge crowds of Germans gathering to approve all that hope coming to the U.S.

Hope and change, yes we can!

Hoffen und aenderen, ja wir koennen!

But now, with the economy still in the tank and unemployment hovering around 10 percent, and with Republicans poised to make big gains in the November midterm elections, the media is consumed with a different theme.

We're no longer talking hope. These days, the election is framed as one of anger and rage against the federal government.

And since we've been taught that anger is irrational, doesn't it follow that anger aimed at the government is also irrational? Who wants to be mocked as irrational?

Surely, those with a brain can see the Orwellian logic in all of this — or is that Axelrodian logic?

Good read.

Made me remember a point of fact I lost some time back.

Bushitler may have been the Antichrist, but I can not remember expenditure numbers in the trillions being tossed about in the msm like nickles back when we were ruled by satans disciple.

The 111 spent this nation to penury. The statutory law they stuffed up our bum shall insure their trust fund private schooled posterity work for a generation sorting out the $hit sandwich, deciding who has been required to to take how many bites.

I am so back in 1976 that it is not funny. I am no longer controllable by any state or federal entity or apparatus... In fact, I want such to present itself in my presence, so I can shoot the $hit out of it and feed it to my pooches.

I am a liberal. I am pissed off. I care not a whit about anyone unwilling or unable to physically change my direction. I will not give my piss to the anonymous cowards here who present themselves as patriot. Welcome back, boys and girls... "this $hit sells itself", and it is going to run up your a$$ and out your mouth.

“There was even hope in Berlin, and Americans were told to be encouraged about the huge crowds of Germans gathering to approve all that hope coming to the U.S.”

The Germans, of all people, ought to be wary of charismatic leaders.

Excellent article - it’s also posted on the front page of RealClearPolitics - so hopefully it gets good play!

It’s hilarious. Kass has dared to take on the Chicago machine in the past. Not too sure exactly where he stands. Maybe other know more.
