52 Percent of Americans Flunk Climate 101

52 Percent of Americans Flunk Climate 101 By FELICITY BARRINGER Green: Science

A new study by researchers at Yale University suggests that Americans’ knowledge of climate science is limited and scattershot, with some understanding of basic issues like the contribution of fossil fuels to global warming and some singular misconceptions as well.

For instance, more than two-thirds of those surveyed believe that reducing toxic waste or banning aerosol spray cans will curb climate change. And 43 percent believe that “if we stopped punching holes in the ozone layer with rockets, it would reduce global warming,” the survey’s authors write.

Overall, just 1 in 10 of those surveyed said they were “very well informed” about climate change and 45 percent said they were not very worried or not at all worried about it.

If letter grades were given by the survey’s authors (based on absolute scores, not grading on the curve), 1 percent would have received an A, 7 percent a B, 15 percent a C, 25 percent a D and 52 percent an F.

Researchers said that the results “reflect the unorganized and sometimes contradictory fragments of information Americans have absorbed from the mass media and other sources.”

“Most people don’t need to know about climate change in their daily life, thus it is not surprising that they have devoted little effort to learning these details,” they write.

52 Percent of Americans Flunk Climate 101

Isn't that about the same percentage as voted for the Kenyan?

Complete garbage. The “green” idiots have to make all explanations as difficult as possible to make themselves look smart and to confuse us “dumbasses”. This article may as well be written by a 2 year old. It would make as much sense.

I’m sure those lefties at Yale are just dying to teach America the TRUTH about climate, right.

No, the 52% who voted for the Usurper-in-Chief are A and B Climate Change monkeys and account for the small percentage of those grades. Thus, the other 48% of sane people in this country account for 52% of “Climate Failures.”

FUBO!

45 percent said they were not very worried or not at all worried about it.

Very encouraging considering they have been subjected to the largest government/media propaganda campaign since WWII to get them to believe in the hoax.

So the most heavily funded globalist campaign in world history has failed to educate the masses. Let me guess. They think they need to spend more money on educating the masses.

“Most people don’t need to know about climate change in their daily life, thus it is not surprising that they have devoted little effort to learning these details,”

So sayeth the mighty researcher who probably hasn't been in the woods more than a couple times in his life.

I'm glad I had a good science teacher in school. He taught us that we could never have too many data points and each individual data point had to be stable.

If I were relying on this fall alone I would say that global warming is a fact because we haven't had a frost yet. Fortunately I've lived more than one year and know that we usually have frost by now.

Maybe they should have surveyed more than just the science department at the major universities then.

Given the fact that I’ve still got tomatoes ripening, I wish global warming was real so I would have a longer growing season every year instead of just this year.

More seriously:

For instance, more than two-thirds of those surveyed believe that reducing toxic waste or banning aerosol spray cans will curb climate change. And 43 percent believe that “if we stopped punching holes in the ozone layer with rockets, it would reduce global warming,” the survey’s authors write.

So are two big fallacies pushed by the leftists on the american population, and aided by the Scientists. Americans know that we banned aerosols, and certainly were led to believe we needed to do this to save the planet from SOMETHING, and the big thing we are told is a danger is climate change.

So why were the aerosols banned; why did we ban CFCs and make people convert their air conditioners to a more useless and less efficient chemical?

I want to know why we haven’t stopped daylight savings time . You just have to know that adding that extra hour of daylight all these years has added greatly to globull warming.

So they gave a fake test loaded with their unprovable (or proved false) assumptions and people “failed” it. How nice.

I believe I am going to conduct a study to see how many researchers at Yale University have a basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering. My prediction is that the percentages will be about the same as for this BOGUS study, since these researchers probably don’t take the time to learn about Mechanical Engineering and how it affects their daily lives.

I bet its because they just don’t care.

And I’ll even grade on the curve....
