Suspicious Packages Close Brooklyn Bridge In Both Directions

Someone wondered on Twitter, "Brooklyn Bridge closed to pedestrian and cycle traffic; cops refuse to say why. Why?" Well, it's also closed to vehicular traffic in both directions—apparently there are two suspicious packages, one in each direction!

MYFOXNY.COM - Vehicles and pedestrians are not being allowed on the Brooklyn Bridge due to a police investigation.

The Associated Press reports police received a call about a suspicious package at 9:38 a.m.

The caller told police a flashlight with copper wiring was on the pedestrian walkway, according to the AP.

Police are on the scene.

Traffic is being diverted to the Manhattan Bridge.

Place harmless packages near various transportation hubs, energy facilities or places of business thereby distributing commerce as much as possible.

Watch the great satan run around in circles trying to catch his tail while spending vast amounts of resources in panic mode.
