If they said they were WWII veterans their age alone should have been all the proof needed. Hard to imagine a group of 90-somethings getting together at the geriatric clinic and cooking up a plot to make believe they're veterans so they can dine at a nice restaurant. It was political on somebody's part, be sure of that. "Screw you old-fashioned, conservative goats". But political or not it's a sign of the times anyway, there's little respect left in the U.S. for the elderly or the unborn, or for that dying thing called "decency".

Agreed. Nobody respects the elderly, and apparently the elderly don't respect dress codes.

You are right, there is less respect for the elderly. I was raised to respect the elderly.
