Having been in the service, late 50's early 60's I saw what gays do to a unit in terms of morale.

There was a gay MP in Schweinfurt, Germany that was repeatedly accused of molesting drunken GI's that he arrested in bars in the town.

It went on for months until the Army sent in under cover guys to get real proof on the guy.

We was booted out but before he rotated back to the States his fellow MPs gave him a severe "blanket party" and he spent several weeks in the hospital.
