It wasn’t so much that Tancredo was originally anti-GWB. It’s that GWB and his Karl banned Tom from the White House, even as they invited liberal Democrat guests all the time. We are reaping the failures of GWB and will for years.

IIRC Karl wasn't fond of Tancredo's stance against open borders, amnesty for illegals, and flooding the country with 'guest' workers.

With the Governor’s race resolving itself, the entire Republican ticket will be strengthened.

Looking at where the Democrats are relative to Mr. 50 percent, and considering the housekeeping we have had to do, it is clear to me that we will win the Senate seat and have an excellent chance to win the Governor’s seat.

With regard to ballot status, under current law the Republican Party will lose ballot status if its candidate for Governor pulls less than 10 percent. Conversely, whatever party has put Tancredo on the ballot will gain ballot status.

Current law can, should and probably will be changed. I like the rule that one of a party’s candidates for statewide office gain at least 10 percent, or maybe at least 5 percent, during the prior four year cycle.

Such a law avoids the not rare problem that the candidate of a truly major party for a particular office causes the party to fall under the threshold for ballot status.

Furthermore, by expanding the condition to any statewide office, meaningful small parties aren’t forced to run candidates for the identified office merely for the purpose of gaining or retaining ballot status. Such a party could cross-endorse a major party candidate (whether or not it could also list the major party’s candidate on the ballot) or simply be neutral with regard to that office.

Finally, it would save the taxpayer money with respect to the role of the election board in administrating the petitioning process.

Many of those CO liberals are transplants from CA

We're trying our best to push these leftist out...Fact is, most of them aren't from California to begin with. Like Pelosi, Boxer etc...All from states like Colorado, Maine, NY, etc.

That's so true and they ruined the state for us natives. I've lived in AZ since 1991, came here for school, but I'm ashamed of the typical "Californians" (who aren't really) who go and destroy other states the way they ruined CA.

Whatever people may criticize about Tom (and I have sometimes criticized him), he is very well known statewide, the ultimate fiscal conservative and a straight arrow. He is what he is and he is what you see...

Very true! I've met/seen him 4x and always love hearing him speak!

Of course it's true and all these carnival barkers know it.

California was totally invaded over the past 35 years east coast leftist freaks, and the politically corrupt.

Everyone wanted to come to California....Like Charlie Manson, (Born and raised in Ohio)

I hope the trend continues, and more leftist and out of state nut bars leave California to other states, and back to where they came from.

Dan Maes is nothing but a narcissist! If Tom was down as low as Dan is I bet Dan would ask Tom to drop out. Dan needs to man up and drop out so we do not end up with Chickenpooper!

It will at least scare off their secret money backers who are nothing but a pack of bedsheet cowards and camel pole smokers, with more money then they deserve .

I couldn't agree more. If my finger was on the button, a lot of the middle east would be a glass parking lot.

I had to go back to read what I wrote.....ok it is imparative that Maes gets 10 percent or their will be a lot of penalties for the Republican Party for the next four years. I did not make the rules but that is what the results will be if he does not get 10 percent. Every FREEPERS knows this and knows we are in a pickle. But wants Tancredo to win the whole thing, but have Maes win 10 percent and then perfection will happen.

Pubs in Colo. should hold their noses and vote for Terrible Tom just to give the state a chance to redistrict for 2012. Maes is a mess and not worth one vote. And the Hick is just another Dem clone of Bama.

Third party wins will continue.

If anyone likes Tancredo’s platform than you might just enjoy becoming a CP member.

It’s actually a perfect fit for him. If people would just take a gander over at the CP site, they might be quite surprised that it lines up very closely with the entire movement that’s been going on during the past 2 years.

Not bizarre at all . Democrats In California import voters from Mexico, voters that vote for democrats . As the number of illegals grows the state goes more to the left.

NO! Bombing Mecca after a terrorist attack is a bad strategy.

Best strategy: Forewarn all muslim countries that next terrorist attack on US soil will immediately be followed by nuking Mecca and Medina. That will result in the “moderate” muslims taking care of the terrorists.

Then we can save Billions on airport security, Home land security, border freight inspections etc.

Many of those CO liberals are transplants from CA, but CA grows more liberal as liberal transplants leave. It really is bizarre.

Don't forget that even more conservatives are leaving California than liberals - Oklahoma & Texas have now gained more California refugees than ever went West during the Dust Bowl!
