Relax folks. The article does not state how she is defending him. Nor does it state what about the policies she is defending.

The fact is that even a broken clock is right twice per day. Even 0bama's foreign policy has some good aspects. Don't ask me what though.. I don't think I could list any. But Condi knows more stuff than I do.

What was once full of promise is gone, gone, gone. Is loyalty only skin deep?

Rice, Powell, and 0bama. All three are now “down for the struggle”.

Wow! 17 comments before the suggestion to read the article! Just amazing. It’s so much easier to comment on the headline. Reading the article could take time.

This is really disturbing. Rice naively supports the Usurper who has bashed her former boss on a daily basis for two years and incessantly criticized the USA at home and abroad. Condi is a useful idiot.

"Wasn't she a protege of Scowcroft?"

Isn't Scowcroft and advisor to Obama. One of Obama's wise old men.

They are foreign policy realists. Scowcroft, Rice, Powell, Gates, Gen. Jones, Gates, Kissinger, Brzezinski, Nunn, Hamilton

As opposed to being foreign policy neocons like Cheney, Bolton, Wolfowitz, Feith, Perle.

As opposed to being liberal interventionists like Clinton, Biden, Joe Lieberman.

I read the article. It wasn't a ringing endorsement of Obama foreign policy but it sure wasn't much of a criticism, either. If 'diplomatic' is interpreted as saying nothing of any real substance, Condi accomplished that quite nicely. However, she was at the White House as a guest of the president. Not the time or place to announce anything really critical of your host. Still, I doubt Condi Rice is ever going to be a huge critic of Obama because, after all, he's 'historic'.

“Wow! 17 comments before the suggestion to read the article! Just amazing. It’s so much easier to comment on the headline. Reading the article could take time.”

UPI wrote it. They are known for pure liberal trash. The whole story is six paragraphs long.

Excerpts: “Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is defending the Obama administration's foreign policy against attacks from fellow Republicans.”

“Appearing at the Aspen Institute in Washington, D.C., Friday evening, Rice said, “Nothing in this president's methods suggests this president is other than a defender of America's interests.”

“She has refused to join in criticism of the current administration....”

“Speaking to Fox News's Bill O’Reilly, she praised her successor, Hillary Clinton.”

Now you want us to shout hosannas about her exactly why?

I agree-pretty sad.
It’s all about being black.
I was going to buy her book, now I will not.

Methods to me suggest a process or set of procedures. So Condi has parsed this well, because Obama’s decisions, achievements, and lack of action in some cases do indeed suggest he does not have the nation’s best interests in mind.

It reminds me when Dubya had Clinton back to the WH for some ceremony - it might have been the unveiling of BJ’s official portrait. Anyway, Dubya said that nobody enjoyed being president more than Clinton. Everybody in the room (and many here at FR) thought that George Bush was praising Clinton. But, to Bush that was an insult of the subtlest kind. Dubya believes that being president is an awesome responsibility - with solumn duties that are not to be enjoyed for the most part. The hedonistic pleasure that Clinton, and now Hussein and his Wookie, derive from the office is anathema to George W. Bush. Truly a great American (to coin a phrase).

I was so PISSED last night when I heard her (can't remember where) remark (and I don't think I misunderstood her) about the "OCCUPATION" of Palestinian territories....

What little respect for I had for Condi(and that was from what many of us already were aware of--her being a MAJOR RINO) just went, bye-bye!
